Our famous Pizza Scuola chef Simone, has successfully competed at the world pizza making championships in Japan, another reason to join us for a pizza making session. If you don't already have 6 amazing reasons to attend our Pizza Scuola, then maybe let us convince you with 5 reasons why exactly we love pizza so much.
2) Pizza is people-food. It’s round, it’s whole, it’s inclusive and it’s easy to share. In fact, it’s best shared. Whether you’re inviting people round so you can slob out on separate sofas, making small talk at an event buffet, working late with colleagues or trying to create some romance over dinner, pizza is your go-to-guy. Put frankly, pizza has a great social life.
4) Pizza is good for you. It can help us on the way to our 5 a day. Freshly made pizzas, available at cookery classes and pizza schools cropping up all across central London, are a quick and painless way to inject your diet with some vegetables. While some may immediately think of pizza as fast-food, this doesn’t have to mean it’s junk food. If you’re making your own pizza, the choice is yours and topping up with superfoods like spinach or olives which are full of vitamin E, peppers, onions or mushrooms will make for an intensely vibrant, fresh meal which borrows a lot from the much celebrated Mediterranean diet, and that’s before we even mention all the protein in the cheese!
5) Pizza is an art. A lot of knowledge, skill and practice goes into creating the perfect pizza. Whilst many agree that a wood oven is essential, others claim that the standard of the pizza rests solely on where the tomatoes originate, (the closer to Mount Vesuvius the better), but if we’re honest, we’ve learnt not to be prejudice and instead to just be thankful for pizza and it’s many, many brilliant variations. We are eternally grateful.
